It's that time again!! The exhibition is on the calendar and preparations have begun! I have been tinkering around with ideas, sketches and colour palettes for a while now but now its time for the real work to begin!
'Fusion' is opening on the 30th April at Harbour House in Kingsbridge. This will be a join exhibition with fellow artist and friend, Shirley Kirkcaldy. We are bringing our mediums and styles together to bring you a celebration of coastal nature, including flora and wildlife. Dramatic seascapes, delicate florals and a few surprises. There will be a lot of focus on texture and although Shirley is predominately an acrylic painter, she often works with mixed media and pastels. A feast of textures.
Here's my mood board! A combination of photos I've taken, a colour palette and a one or two pieces of art that inspire me. One being one of Shirley's paintings and the other two, creations from my parents!! I have never used their work in a mood board before and it feels very special to have their creative influence.
And here we are, planning and plotting in Shirley's studio...
Sneaky peeks to follow soon!!!
