Greetings from a very quiet art studio. Not so quiet in the house I should add!
Well since my last blog, life has certainly changed a little. We are all retreating to our homes (well I certainly hope those that can, are) and keeping safe, myself and my family included. These uncertain times are quite unsettling and when it all gets too much ( or I watch the news too often) this is where I retreat to, if only for half an hour. I had never appreciated the calm of my studio quite as much as I do now.
I had to smile this morning when I looked at one of the pieces on my work bench... two seagulls socially distancing and one stock piling pebbles! Pure fluke!! We all certainly need to see as much humour as we can right now and this is my contribution!
As you may already know, the 'Fusion' exhibition I was due to take part in, has been postponed until next year. I have decided to start revealing these as there's plenty of time to make some more!!
Here are 3 mini original pieces which were earmarked for the show and all part of the calming coastal collection. We all could use a little calm at the moment.
'On The Rocks'! This little chap has no idea what's going on!!
'Sea Grass' - my favourite kind of grass!!
'Where The Sky Meets The Sea' - a piece of calm and reflection.
These sweet pieces are 12 x 12", including a double white frame. If would like one of these, I would be very happy to organise delivery, no matter how close you are. (no extra cost). Please just get in touch.
For the next few weeks I will continue to create and share my progress and creations with you. Hopefully a pleasant distraction from the news, if nothing else. I'm feeling the need for something to really make you smile!
My online gallery is open for sales as usual. I am sure buying art is the last thing on most peoples minds at the moment but I have been asked to keep people updated on my creations and whether I am still posting. Yes I will certainly keep the creations coming and yes I will be more than happy to post art while I am able to do so!
Please stay safe and well. Back soon.
