I was delighted to see my textile art so beautifully displayed in the new Devon Moths studio and gallery in Yealmpton this morning. My home village!
This beautiful new haven of local art including stunning wood sculpture by the Devon Moth Man himself, Andre Daniel.
Andre and I shared a studio a few years ago and it is wonderful to see our art together again, including a collaboration piece that we worked on during that time. You can see 'Take Me Back To Cornwall' in the picture below.
Andre has many genres of art on display including wonderful resin and acrylic work by some of my favourite artists. Not only art to be seen here though! There are gifts, lighting, unusual collections of vintage toys, fishing paraphernalia and so much more. A wonderful gallery and emporium of artisan creations!
The gallery opens tomorrow (sat 23rd March) and is open all weekend, 10 - 4.
The setting for the studio also takes some beating. It faces lovely open countryside and every time I've visited there's been a friendly pony at the fence to greet me. This is all so fitting for an artisan who is clearly so inspired by nature and I'm truly delighted to be involved in this exciting new chapter.
There is selection of my original textile work as well as prints in the gallery plus a few gifts too!
The location details can be found below in the poster. It's a very easy place to find and if you'd like to learn more about the gallery and Andre's work please visit www.moth-man.co.uk
