I'm sat in my art studio thinking about where I would have been spending half term - sorry, couldn't help it! I would have been here, in beautiful Cornwall.. Polzeath, to be precise :)
Still, the sun is shining and one mustn't grumble! Cornwall will still be there for when we are all allowed to go out and holiday again!
We almost always go to Cornwall for this half term and followers of my art will know I have immortalised a few of my favourites in textile art. They are all part of my South West collection and each one brings back wonderful holiday memories for me.
I adore the beautiful village of Marazion and have visited many times. Visiting this tidal island is always a 'must'! An iconic image of Cornwall with some local coastal flowers thrown in to frame the scene. Artist licence is a wonderful thing.
An entirely different area altogether. 'Charlestown' is steeped with history and now associated with Poldark, of course (as well as many other films and TV shows). I used to take my son to see tall ships when he was very young and fondly remember his fascination with them.
A very firm favourite of mine and somewhere I will continue to visit forever! The stunning Isles Of Scilly with all of its beautiful little islands, each one with it's own unique charm.
There are many more! ... this is just a sneaky peek of my favourites. All of these pieces are available as limited edition prints or box canvas versions. Here's the link to see the entire collection

Let's hope it's not too long before we are all enjoying a getaway once again! For now, enjoy the sunshine, wherever you are :)
