As you may have gathered from my previous blog posts I've been busy creating a new Spring themed collection of textile art for one of my favourite galleries, Wildwood Arts in Yelverton, Dartmoor.
I throughly enjoyed the private view on Saturday eve - so many wonderful spring colours and flowers everywhere! A great evening with great people.
My collection of originals is featured in the photo below. I've used some vibrant colours and as you can see, lots of reference to the season!
The exhibition opens tomorrow (tuesday 5th) and the gallery is open tuesdays to saturdays 10-5. For more information please visit www.wildwoodartsdartmoor.co.uk. There's a large selection of art created by local and national artists, all inspired by beautiful Dartmoor. There's also a gorgeous collection of felt artisan clothing and scarves which I just love as well as stunning jewellery. It's definitely worth a visit!
I have to say this one was a lot of fun!! Dartmoor is well known for it's ales so it seemed a fitting subject!! Quirky names, bright colours and lots of Spring! A definite room brightener! Prints are available - please see the 'Drinks Cabinet' collection!
I'll be popping in throughout the exhibition and topping up my display throughout the three months. You may not see the same pieces twice! It's been a while since I've really got stuck into florals and I'm rather enjoying a bit of petal power at the moment.
If you have any questions about the exhibition or the pieces on display please get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you can't make it to the show I'd be very happy to send you more images and details of the pieces.
