I know I have said this countless times but nothing makes an artist happier than seeing their artwork in loving homes. I love it when clients send me images of my pieces 'in situ'. They could be commissioned pieces planned for a certain spot in the home or an impulse buy which has found a perfect display space.
Whatever the reason, they are enjoying a piece of my textile art and that makes me very happy! I've even had reports of redecorating to work with the picture - that makes me even happier!
Here's a few that have been sent to me recently...
'The Gin Game' in a dining room (in close proximity to the drinks cabinet!)
'Jibe Ho' in a teenage boys bedroom.
I love this one! 'Cats' and cats in a kitchen!
'The Ship Inn, in a country cottage lounge diner.
'St Michaels Mount' in a contemporary lounge.
The covering image of the blog is a commissioned piece of the Scilly Isles which works perfectly in this kitchen, complete with the family pooch.
I've said it before but it's often quite a wrench when an original heads out of the door - bit like a child leaving home! however knowing it is being enjoyed on a daily basis more than makes up for that.
I'm always so happy to receive images like this and I have so many more but thought I'd send a few of my favourites on this occasion! Please do send pictures if you have any of my pieces gracing your walls at home. It's always so intriguing to see where they end up and a relief that they're not still in their packaging!
In the meantime, I will keep the art coming!
