Gallery Makeover

I now have my own studio at Snawdon’s Mill in Yealmpton - in fact I have moved back into what was Edge West Studio, the space I previously shared with my good friend Shirley Kirkcaldy. Shirley is in the process of opening her own place closer to home on Dartmoor - equally exciting! I’ve taken the plunge and decided to take the space on myself and I have to say it didn’t take me long to fill it! How I have missed the wonderful light….

As you will soon see I have given it a little freshen up and there are a few colourful additions too. This is why I’ve been rather quiet of late!!!!!! Here’s a little peek…

It’s still a work in progress but visitors are welcome!!! I have decided to open on Thursdays and Fridays 10 - 4 and Saturday mornings 10-1. Appointments are always welcome, of course. It’s very easy to find, just off the A379, on the outskirts of Yealmpton.

I feel so fortunate to have such a wonderful space to work in and display my art at the same time. I have tried to create a welcoming contemporary space with a homely feel (it is in fact my second home!).

I’m so excited to have so many creative neighbours too. There is now a textile designer, a terrazzo ceramicist, a pilates studio, framing business, photography studio and a fused glass artist. It’s becoming quite an art destination. In fact, we are having an open day on Saturday 1st July - all the studios will be open for visitors.

I’m just actually happy to put the rollers and paintbrushes away and get on with some art now!!! There will be lots of newness by the time you visit - that’s a promise!!
