Private lessons offer the opportunity of a personal learning experience tailored to your precise requirements - all levels welcome, including those with no art experience. Lessons are relaxed and flexible and work to your pace. All welcome - from complete beginners to textiles and mixed media to those with more experience that wish to work on a particular area of practice. Lessons are relaxed and informal and you choose what you’d like to learn!

As both an experienced and fully qualified adult educator and professional artist, I offer tuition on textile art practice as well as fundamental principles of art such as composition, perspective, tone, light and colour theory. I can teach specialised techniques such as free motion embroidery, applique, mixed media, collage and mono printing with fabric. The session content really is entirely up to you!

If required, a sewing machine suitable for textile techniques can be provided, and all materials are included. I do encourage students to bring their own machine if they have one, as setting their machine for future use is extremely useful. There is an extra charge of £5 per session to loan a machine.
